Shell Size: minimum 30cm length ( Approx 12 inches)

Description & Application:
Triton is one of a group of very large sea snails, named after the mythical Greek God Triton, son of Poseidon, God of the sea.

The stunning markings make each shell truly unique. We often think that the markings look similar to combed marble designs made popular in book-craft in the nineteenth century. (For example see our image above)

Triton Shells in History: From ancient times, people of many different cultures have removed the tip of the shell, and used the shell as a trumpet.

Note: Whilst this is a top quality shell it is not offered as a specimen. Shells lack a complete embryonic spire. and may have slight damage to lateral whirls.

What do Feature Sea Shells bring to a room ? Sea Shells introduce a sense of fun into any room, bringing it to life. They are tactile, quick to make friends and always have a story to tell – perfect for bathrooms, studies and living spaces .

How do you introduce Feature Shells into an interior scheme? Break the mould, feature sea shells are stunning in combination with other objects, and we don’t just mean mock weathered seaside clutter! Give them space, less is more. Pick out colours of apricot, coral pink and natural cotton and combine with ceramics, books and beach combed treasures.
Unlike redecorating a room feature shells are not a big financial commitment. Move them around until your interior design heart’s content, and don’t forget opportunities in outside garden rooms and beach cabins.
